Amber graduated in 2016 from Birmingham City University with a first class degree. She currently works from her studio, on a commission basis. ‘The Gardener’s Daughter’ grew up in a very active and artistic family her mother an Interior Designer and father as a Self Employed Gardener. She spent many hours in wellies exploring the countryside, from a very young age. Her love of illustration and photography is something that drives her practice, she enjoys the freedom it gives her to explore the world the surrounds her. ‘The Gardener’s Daughter’ uses a mixture of processes within her practice, yet traditional linoleum printing remains her favourite method. She collates her sketches onto linoleum sheets and creates playful, yet charming narrative arrangements. She hopes that her artwork evokes a smile and a little wonder to her audience. |
